Terms of Service

1.The Service

Glanceshot is a web page screenshot API for developers: you submit a URL or HTML, and we return a screenshot (PNG, JPEG, or WebP) or a PDF file. Specific features, parameters, and limits are set out in API Docs and on the pricing page.

We may improve, modify, or discontinue certain features. We will provide advance notice by email or a website announcement of changes that materially and adversely affect paying users.

2.Accounts and API Key

Please provide a valid, accessible email address when registering. You are responsible for safeguarding your account password, API Key, and signing secret. Requests made through your account or API Key are considered your actions, and the resulting usage is charged to your account.

If you discover that your API Key has been compromised, immediately disable or delete it in the console and create a new one. You must be at least 16 years old or have reached the age at which you may independently enter into contracts under the laws of your jurisdiction.

3.Acceptable Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and must comply with the target website's terms of service and access rules, including robots directives. You must not use the Service to:

• Bypassing a website's login requirements, paywalls, human verification, or other access controls (this restriction does not apply to screenshots taken after logging in with an account you are authorized to use);
• Collecting or processing another person's personal information without authorization, or using another person's account or login credentials that you are not authorized to use;
• Capture or distribute content that infringes others' copyrights, trademarks, or other rights;
• Capture or distribute unlawful, pornographic, violent, fraudulent, or malware-related content;
• Attack, scan, or probe any network or system, or attempt to access our internal networks or those of others;
• Circumvent quotas or rate limits through multiple accounts, false information, or other means;
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Service or conduct unauthorized stress testing of the Service.

If we encounter a website block or detect a CAPTCHA or login wall, we will return an error and will not attempt to bypass it. If you violate this section, we may suspend or terminate your account without notice.

When using the logged-in screenshot feature, you must ensure that you have the legal right to use the account and are responsible for the content captured.

4.Free Plans, Paid Plans, and Quotas

The free plan includes a fixed monthly quota. Once it is exhausted, service stops for the remainder of the month and automatically resumes the next calendar month (UTC). Quotas, rate limits, and concurrency limits for each plan are set out on the pricing page.

Only successful requests count against your quota: a screenshot counts as 1 request, and a PDF counts as 2. Timeouts, rendering failures, and cache hits do not count against your quota.

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel. After cancellation, your subscription will not renew, and you may continue using it until the end of the current period. See Refund Policy for refund rules.

If we change our prices, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance. The new price will take effect at the start of your next billing period.

5.Payments

Our payment partner, Creem, collects payments for paid subscriptions as the Merchant of Record and is responsible for calculating and remitting applicable sales tax, value-added tax, and other taxes. You must also comply with Creem's purchase terms when making a payment. We do not access or store your complete payment information, such as your full card number.

6.Your Content and Generated Results

Rights to the URLs, HTML, and other parameters you submit, and the screenshots and PDFs generated from them ("Your Content"), belong to you or the original rights holders. You grant us a limited license to process, render, store, and transmit Your Content as necessary to provide the Service.

You must ensure that you have the right to capture and use the target web page's content, and you are responsible for Your Content and its use.

To improve response times and reduce costs, generated results are cached for a period of time and made available through hard-to-guess URLs. Anyone who obtains a URL can access the corresponding file. Do not publicly share result URLs that contain sensitive information.

7.Intellectual Property

All rights to the Service and its website, software, documentation, branding, and logos belong to us or our licensors. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Service or use our branding or logos.

8.Service Availability

We will make efforts to keep the Service stable and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Maintenance, failures, changes to target websites, or force majeure events may temporarily make the Service unavailable or cause results to differ from expectations.

9.Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time or request account deletion by emailing support@glanceshot.com.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees when due, or use the Service in a way that poses a risk to the Service, other users, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends immediately. Fees paid will not be refunded if your account is terminated for violating these Terms.

10.Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without any express or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

11.Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability in connection with the Service is limited to the fees you actually paid us in the 12 months preceding the loss. For free users, our liability is limited to $100.

This section does not limit any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

12.Indemnification

You are responsible for handling any third-party claims arising from your violation of these Terms or the law, Your Content, or your use of the Service, and for indemnifying us for any resulting losses and reasonable expenses.

13.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and revise the "Last updated" date on this page. We will provide advance notice of material changes by email or a website announcement. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14.Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. The parties shall first seek to resolve any dispute arising from these Terms through amicable negotiations. If negotiations fail, the dispute shall be submitted for litigation to the people's court with jurisdiction over the place where we are domiciled.

If you are a consumer, these Terms do not affect your rights under the mandatory laws of your jurisdiction.
